summertime, and the livin’s easy…

Aside from my snazzy new Cervelo, I think that the “purchase of the year” would have to go to Greg and the new Kamado Grill that he got the other day…we christened it last night with a healthy summer dinner of kebabs and extra veggies.

SO delicious…I can’t wait to look up new recipes and marinades to try out.  The marinade I used yesterday for the chicken was:

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup light corn syrup (this sounded REALLY strange to me, but it worked!)

1/2 of a fresh squeezed lemon

minced purple garlic (I just used one large clove)

big handful of sesame seeds

garlic salt


The garden is just behind this handsome bearded fella, if it works out, we’ll have a really small carbon footprint in about 2 months when the veggies are ready to harvest… 🙂

YUM!  Next up, pizza on the grill!
